A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING ON INDUSTRIAL PERFORMANCE
ABSTRACT
The study work is subjected to finding out the major impact of collective bargaining on industrial dispute in champion breweries Uyo. It is noted that this has over the years been a repented issue in industrial relations and the world of commerce at large, as employers often disagree with employee over interest. Hence, tend to create grievances which most times lead to industrial actions, causing a fall in the productivity growth.
Due to this fact, this work examines the various levels of collective bargaining and its impacts on industrial dispute in champion breweries. As a matter of fact, the term “Strike” is not left out in the content of this study, as it is seen as a form of industrial action for better negotiations and a means of showing grievances. The research recommends approaches for smooth collective bargaining in organization, (private/public).

Collective bargaining is governed by federal and state statutory laws, administrative agency regulation, and judicial decision. In areas where federal and state law overlap, state laws are preempted (Bureau of Labour Statistics Collective Bargaining agreement Program).
The main body of law governing collective bargaining is the National Labour Relation Act (NLRA).
